What is

light management?

System that adapts light to current user’s needs, while optimising the use of energy. This is Clue In!

“Properly adjusted light improves the comfort of life, efficiency and employees’ safety, as well as the cognitive abilities of students. From work and education, through relaxation and fun.”

System’s scalability allows Clue In to be applied regardless of the size of the facility. It will prove perfect in one room, as well as in the entire building complex. No need forroverhauls, cutting into walls or cabling. Easy access via application installed in your smartphone enables to see the world in a better light.

Where can I apply?

Properly adjusted light wherever you are

Clue In was created for us – people and for our planet. So you can use Clue In wherever you need light: for work, study, rest, recovery or entertainment. Light scenes created with Clue In affect well-being and concentration. In industry and sports facilities, they will improve safety, in offices and schools, they will increase the level of perception, in hospitals they will help people recover, and in hotels they will ensure a good mood. Adaptation of lighting to weather conditions, time of day or the occupancy of rooms, brings measurable benefits in the form of optimal energy use and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

for commerce

In commercial facilities, light is one of factors responsible for attractiveness of displays, mood and the overall atmosphere that accompanies shopping. It allows to accentuate selected product groups, direct customer interest and stimulate shopping reactions. Additionally, optimisation of light intensity together with the maximum use of natural light result in significant electricity consumption.

for offices

The optimal level of lighting helps office workers perform their duties efficiently, regardless of the time of day. The light automatically adapts to the human circadian rhythm and external conditions, improving people’s well-being and intellectual performance. And can be used only when needed, which reduces the building’s operating costs.

for restaurants and hotels

Building a proper atmosphere in hotels and restaurants is a key marketing goal. Variety of rooms’ functions and their flexibility for adaptation to customer expectations is a big challenge which can be managed thanks to the programmable lighting - it can be set individually for a specific events like, for example, an official conference, romantic dinner or an entertainment event.

for schools

School is the place where young people are expected to be fully focused and committed to intellectual development. Breaks between classes help relieve stress and regain energy for next lessons. Lighting plays an enormous role in classrooms, sport halls and corridors. Adapted to students’ activities, it improves concentration and increases comfort and safety.

for health care

Medical care facilities must meet the expectations of both patients and staff. Due to the 24-hour availability of employees, lighting plays a significant role in stimulating professional activity. In the case of patients, properly selected and controlled lighting improves the comfort of rest, and thus reduces recovery time.

lighting control

Spectral distribution of light in harmony with human nature

Light of a new quality

People have been illuminated by the sun for millennia. Artificial lighting can disrupt the regular rhythm of our body, which may have a direct impact on the quality of life (problems with sleeping, lack of concentration, irritability).

Lena Lighting is one of the first manufacturers to offer lighting products whose light almost perfectly reproduces the visible range of sunlight. The use of this technology in combination with the Human Centric Lighting control system helps maintain our natural biorhythm, no matter where we are.

The new quality of light spectrum

Regular LED light spectrum

Adaptation of light to the circadian cycle

Human Centric Lighting

Our biorhythm is largely determined by natural light. Its intensity and colour change throughout the day as the sun moves across the sky. At the start of the day, the light that reaches us has a warm colour, which changes with time, reaching its maximum intensity and turning to a “white” colour around noon. Towards the end of the day, it takes on warm shades again and the intensity of light decreases.

The illustration shows our biorhythm. Each element is interrelated and dependent on each other, and the imbalance of any of them may negatively affect the others.

Adaptation of light is primarily due to the system that monitors the right time intervals over the day. Its intelligence allows for the correct interpretation of input factors such as:

  • Office occupancy – if the room is empty, the system can turn off the luminaires
  • The presence of daylight – on a sunny day, the system will dim the lamps and on cloudy days it will brighten them to such levels that the light from the lamps will be mixed in the right proportions with sunlight, providing the required level of light and bringing electricity savings.
  • Monitoring the time of the day, season and geographic latitude – the colour and the required light intensity will follow the sun, bringing us as close to natural lighting conditions as possible.
  • Flexibility – we can turn off the automatic mode at any time and set any selected lighting scene.

PIR and HF technologies used

Clue Industrial

The sensors we use are compatible with two motion detection technologies. Both technologies (PIR and microwave sensor) are commonly known methods of motion detection. Both have the following pros and cons:

PIR

Using infra-red waves

Pros

  • Waves can be reflected, which allows for a large range of detection
  • High circular motion sensitivity.
  • RCR is not disturbed by artificially generated heat, smoke or temperature changes generated by heaters and air conditioners

Cons

  • Penetrates through thin materials and partition walls
  • Detection range is difficult to limit
  • It can be falsely triggered by the movement of machines, fans, or water in pipes running through the walls

RCR

radio motion sensor using microwave reflection

Pros

  • No penetration through thin materials, partition walls
  • High perpendicular motion sensitivity.
  • PIR is not disturbed by the movement of non-heat generating objects.

Cons

  • Movement can be falsely detected by devices that generate sudden changes in temperature.

By using these two technologies at the same time, we guarantee the best quality of detection and security.

Adjustment of the detection field

Clue Industrial

Advanced technical solutions allow the detection field to be adjusted with regard to the existing conditions. A system focused on generating savings will work optimally while determining precise parameters of the detection area. The sensors we use can be adapted to any situation.

Global control

The control system is often a tailor-made solution. Through the system, we can manage a room, floor, building or the entire facility consisting of many elements such as production halls, warehouses, offices and social rooms.

Our Clue In system can be based on wired and wireless infrastructure. It enables control from the local and global level. With the help of mobile devices, users can manage selected zones which they have access to, and the management of the entire facility can be centralised via a PC. The system can return information on data such as:

  • Energy consumption
  • Alert about technical problems such as failures, no power, upcoming service
  • Traffic intensity on the building plan
  • E-mail notifications about selected events in the system

Lighting in the system can be integrated with building automation and, after proper parameterisation, it will not require any user interaction. The system is open and scalable, which makes it a perfect solution for all facilities where control is required and generating savings while ensuring maximum safety and reliability is desired.

We carry out each project based on a thorough analysis of the customer’s needs to ensure maximum safety and comfort of use while generating savings.

Our standards

Our system complies with the required standards and directives. Both wired and wireless solutions are tested, certified and entirely safe.
