Over the years, we have observed how the appropriate selection of light colour temperature has become a crucial element of every lighting project. This parameter, expressed in kelvins (K), has a direct impact not only on the aesthetics of an interior or facade, but also on the comfort of users and the way the space is perceived.

2700K – what colour is that?

Colour temperature 2700K is closest to the light emitted by traditional tungsten bulbs. It is a light with a very warm, almost yellowish hue, which creates a sense of cosiness, calm and relaxation. In our experience, we have noticed that this type of colour temperature is mainly used in projects designed to create an atmosphere conducive to rest, such as relaxation areas in hotels, certain dining spaces or architectural features where soft, warm light is desired.

3000K – what colour is that?

Light with a colour temperature of 3000K is still warm, but more neutral than 2700K. It offers a subtle transition between very yellow light and a more balanced shade of white. This type of colour harmonises perfectly with natural materials – wood, fabrics, raw concrete – emphasising their texture and colour without distorting them.

A colour temperature of 3000K – what does that mean?

Lighting in this range promotes concentration, yet is neither too cold nor too clinical, making it an excellent choice for functional spaces where people spend long periods of time. In our projects, it works well in modern office spaces and for illuminating architectural features, where it is not only the quality of the light that matters, but also its impact on the visual perception of the building.

4000K – what colour is that?

This type of light is considered the most versatile, which is why we most often opt for LED solutions with this colour temperature in our projects. It works perfectly in work spaces such as production halls and warehouses, as well as in the lighting of commercial premises, where natural colour rendering is of paramount importance. Neutral light helps maintain high concentration, does not strain the eyes and does not distort colours, which is of paramount importance in industrial and technical spaces.

4000K colour temperature – what does that mean?

From our point of view, 4000K is the most versatile solution, offering the ability to maintain optimal working conditions in almost any environment. We use it in industrial and car park lighting, in open-plan offices, and also in exhibition spaces. Thanks to this colour temperature, it is possible to maintain visual comfort without the need for unnecessary heating or cooling of the surroundings, which is of considerable importance when designing spaces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

5000K – what colour is that?

Light with a colour temperature of 5000K is noticeably cooler and much closer to what we see in nature at midday, in full sunlight. It is a cool colour that perfectly renders colours and details. In our lighting business, we most often use this type of light in technical areas, laboratories, quality control zones or in places where precise vision of details is paramount. The cool colour of the light aids concentration, improves visibility and allows for accurate visual assessment of objects, which is why it is so widely used in specialist investment projects.
