Street Lighting Modernization in the Gierałtowice Municipality
The Municipality of Gierałtowice has gained a modern, energy-efficient road lighting system thanks to a comprehensive modernization project delivered by Lena Lighting. As part of the investment, 1,116 existing lighting points were replaced and the network was expanded with an additional 672 luminaires, significantly improving the quality and availability of lighting throughout the municipality.
Tiara 2 LED luminaires in XS, S and M versions were installed along the roads, while public spaces were equipped with Skver S luminaires. Thanks to their modular design, they enable the creation of aesthetic and functional lighting configurations tailored to the character of the surrounding environment. All luminaires were equipped with a DALI interface and a programmable power reduction function, allowing for even more efficient energy management.
The modernization has delivered measurable economic and environmental benefits. The installed lighting power was reduced by 65%, from 109.353 kW to 38.256 kW. This translates into annual savings of approximately 284 MWh of electricity, a reduction in CO₂ emissions by nearly 170 tonnes, and a decrease in operating costs of around PLN 230,000 per year.
The project in Gierałtowice is another example of Lena Lighting’s effective support for local governments in developing modern, safe, and sustainable lighting infrastructure.
