Outdoor lighting is often criticized by ecologists and astronomy enthusiasts - according to data from the "Dark Sky" organization, as many as 95% of parks and squares in Poland are improperly lit. Elegant but ineffective lamps, e.g. sodium or mercury lamps, and modern luminaires in the form of balls placed on high masts, scatter light in all directions, reaching, among others, windows of nearby buildings or habitats of wild animals. Research clearly shows that a strong light flux disrupts the natural circadian rhythm of both people, birds, small rodents and reptiles.
Aware of the problem, manufacturers focus on innovation and develop lamps that ensure optimal lighting of green infrastructure, without causing light pollution. Well-thought-out luminaire designs eliminate the possibility of light "escaping" to too high heights and widths, thanks to which the stream reaches only selected places, ensuring safe movement.
