Lighting modernization in the Opalenica commune involves more than just replacing old lamps with new ones. A key element of the project was precisely matching fixtures to specific road and urban conditions, ensuring that every space—from main streets to parks—was lit according to its actual needs. As part of the investment, 1,300 modern LED fixtures were installed across the commune, creating a uniform and efficient lighting system. Our designers analyzed road geometry, traffic volume, pole heights, roadway widths, and the nature of the surroundings.
This allowed us to use the most functional type of luminaire in each location:
- Tiara 2 LD S and Tiara 2 LED M – selected where uniformity of light, high efficiency, and precise beam distribution onto the road were key.
- Skver LED S (L) – used in parks and urban spaces where visual comfort, glare reduction, and aesthetics are key.
This approach allowed us to create a coherent, safe, and efficient lighting system that truly meets the needs of road users and pedestrians. All luminaires used are equipped with Zhaga sockets, which is of great importance for the future operation and development of the lighting infrastructure.
Why is this so important?
- Easy expansion possible – the Zhaga socket allows for easy retrofitting of luminaires with motion sensors, communication modules, or control systems.
- Standardization – thanks to a uniform standard, the municipality is not dependent on a single manufacturer; Any compatible module can be installed without interfering with the fixture's design.
- Ready for smart systems – Zhaga paves the way for Smart City implementation: remote lighting management, energy consumption monitoring, and automatic light intensity adjustment to conditions.
- Lower future maintenance costs – system upgrades and updates can be carried out quickly and without costly replacement of entire fixtures.
Thanks to this, the Opalenica commune gains not only modern lighting, but also infrastructure prepared for the next stages of digitization and automation. We are pleased to have been able to participate in this project and thank the authorities of the Opalenica commune for their trust and partnership in implementing the investment.
