PIR sensors (Passive Infrared Sensors) in lighting control play an important role in automatically turning the light on and off depending on detected movement. PIR sensors are equipped with the ability to detect movement based on local temperature changes in the detection field. When the sensor detects movement, it initiates an appropriate response, such as turning on the light or selecting a scene. PIR technology offers very high sensitivity to rapid changes such as human movement. If the sensor is systemic, then when movement is detected, it sends a control signal to the lighting control system. Some PIR sensors allow for sensitivity adjustment, and special screens can limit the directionality of detection, which allows their operation to be adapted to specific conditions. PIR sensors also have the ability to set the time for which the lighting is kept on after movement is detected. Thanks to this, you can adjust how long the light remains on after the user leaves the sensor's detection field. Most PIR sensors from Lena Lighting S.A. offer It also has a daylight detection function, thanks to which the luminaires can automatically dim, maintaining a constant level of brightness in the room throughout the day.

Application

PIR (Passive Infrared) Sensors can be used in many places where motion-based lighting control is desired. Here are some examples of where PIR sensors can be used to control lighting:

Offices and Workplaces: In offices, manufacturing plants, or other workplaces, PIR sensors can control lighting based on employee presence. Lights will only turn on when movement is detected, which helps save energy.
Shops and Malls: In shops and shopping malls, PIR sensors can help provide the right lighting in the right places. They can respond to customer movement by turning on lights near shelves or sections where there is activity, and turning them off in less frequented areas.
Public Spaces: PIR sensors can be used in public spaces such as hallways in public buildings, stairwells, parking lots, and restrooms. By controlling lighting based on movement, they help ensure the right level of light while saving energy.
Outdoor lighting: PIR sensors are also used in outdoor lighting, such as in gardens, on terraces or around buildings. Motion detection allows the lights to be turned on automatically when someone approaches the building or walks through the yard.
Public toilets: In public toilets, PIR sensors can control the lights, turning them on only when a user is present. This is an effective solution that saves energy and ensures that the right lighting is provided when the toilet is used.

Your personal data is processed on the basis of the GDPR, in particular:
1. Article 6(1a) of the GDPR – the data subject has voluntarily consented to the processing of his/her personal data for one or more specific purposes;

Personal data belonging to you will not be profiled and will not be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area.
Your data processed in connection with the implementation of direct marketing of products and services offered by Lena Lighting S.A. will be stored for 5 years or until an objection is raised against this purpose of processing or until the consent is withdrawn, if the data is processed on the basis of such consent. In the event of the conclusion of the contract, the data will be kept for the entire duration of the contract and the time necessary for its settlement. The provisions of generally applicable law may extend these periods.
