Energy and Climate Advice Project 2.0 - comprehensive support for sustainable development

The second edition of the advisory program, which combines energy efficiency activities with adaptation to climate change, has been launched. The government initiative offers free support for residents, local governments and entrepreneurs in the area of sustainable development and modern ecological solutions.

Extended support formula

In the face of the growing climate crisis, the Polish government continues to support citizens and institutions in implementing innovative ecological technologies. The project, which in its previous edition operated in parallel as the Climate and Energy Consulting, has now gained a new, expanded formula.

The new edition of the program covers not only the previous areas related to energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, but also activities related to adaptation to climate change and effective management of the risk of natural disasters. It is a response to current environmental challenges, including the recent floods in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.

Impressive results of the first edition

The first edition of the project met with great interest. According to official data, as many as 363,000 consultations and advice were provided, which resulted in the implementation of over 5,000 investments in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.

These numbers are the best evidence of the real needs of citizens and institutions in the field of professional advice on the path to sustainable development.

Nationwide network of advisors

The project, which was originally launched in 2016, has developed into a nationwide network of advisors available in every province. It is implemented by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) in partnership with 16 provincial funds for environmental protection and water management (WFOŚiGW).

Each provincial fund has a team of Climate and Energy Advisors. Specialists share their knowledge and experience in the field of low-emission economy, energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and improving air quality.

Replacing inefficient heat sources (so-called "smokestacks") with modern solutions
Subsidies for photovoltaic installations

Project financing

PLN 172 million has been allocated for the implementation of the second edition of the program. The funds come from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment 2021-2027 (FEnIKS) program, specifically from Measure 1.1 Energy efficiency. The agreement for financing the project was signed on November 14, 2024.

Importantly, the support offered under the project is completely free for all interested parties.
