We have modernised the lighting in the municipality of Opalenica. A reduction in power consumption of over 60 per cent
Lower energy consumption, greater control over infrastructure operation and safer lighting in public spaces – these were the results achieved in the municipality of Opalenica. The project involved a total of 1,580 luminaires, and the use of our energy-efficient LED solutions made it possible to significantly reduce the lighting power. Additional savings are provided by smart control during night-time hours.
The modernisation was carried out in two phases. The first phase covered 1,291 road luminaires – the installed power fell from 160.643 kW to a maximum of 60.156 kW, representing a reduction of at least 64 per cent. In the second phase, covering a further 289 lighting points, a 67 per cent reduction in power consumption was achieved.
In Opalenica, we mainly used Tiara 2 LED luminaires for road lighting, which combine high energy efficiency with a modern design. In urban spaces, on the other hand, we used Skver LED luminaires, whose minimalist form fits in well with the character of contemporary public spaces. Careful selection of parameters allowed us to combine lighting quality with safety and the aesthetics of the surroundings.
The savings resulting from the use of LED technology are further enhanced by intelligent lighting control. The solutions implemented utilise the DALI interface and Zhaga connectors.
The result of the modernisation is a state-of-the-art infrastructure that consumes significantly less energy, reduces operating costs and CO₂ emissions, whilst ensuring adequate lighting for roads and urban spaces.
