Specification
LED strips are a popular solution for linear lighting, valued for their versatility and ease of installation. The LED PRO series is covered by a warranty of up to 7 years. A wide range of variants makes it possible to adapt the lighting to the intended application and project requirements. The availability of warm white, neutral white and cool white colour temperatures allows the desired lighting effect to be achieved for any space. The use of an aluminium profile with a diffusing cover, combined with the appropriate LED density, makes it possible to create a uniform line of light. A factory-applied self-adhesive layer simplifies installation in an aluminium profile or on a properly prepared surface. The quality of the LEDs, PCB construction and effective heat dissipation have a significant impact on the durability and reliability of the lighting system.
Power supply and driver selection
For longer installations, it is recommended to choose a 24 V LED strip. Compared to a 12 V version with the same power rating, it draws less current, reducing voltage drop and supporting more uniform illumination. It may also allow the use of smaller-gauge cables that are easier to conceal during installation. However, cable selection depends on the strip power and the length of the supply cables. A 24 V LED strip requires a constant-voltage DC power supply. To connect it to the electrical mains, a power supply unit with an output voltage matching the strip voltage must be used. The required driver power is calculated by multiplying the strip power per metre by the total strip length. When selecting a driver, an additional power reserve should be considered in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. The type of power supply depends on the installation location and operating conditions. Available options include compact slim drivers, furniture power supplies and sealed versions with the appropriate IP protection rating.
Why choose a professional LED strip?
Professional LED strips are the ideal solution for users who expect high-quality light, long service life and consistent performance. The available models have been verified and tested in our photometric laboratory.
Their key advantages include:
- High luminous efficacy – depending on the model, up to 50% higher luminous flux at the same power consumption compared to the Standard version.
- Longer service life – selected models offer more than twice the lifetime of products from the Standard series.
- Consistent light colour – careful LED binning minimises colour variation along the entire strip length and ensures repeatable lighting effects.
- Versatile applications – from furniture and architectural accent lighting to general lighting, provided that the correct parameters and installation method are selected.
Professional LED strips combine energy efficiency with the ability to create attractive lighting solutions in homes, offices, consulting rooms and retail spaces.
Application
LED strips are used for functional, decorative and accent lighting.
They are most commonly used for:
- Worktop and task lighting – for example, under kitchen cabinets.
- Furniture illumination – shelves, display cabinets, wardrobes and walk-in closets.
- Interior lighting – ceiling and wall recesses, as well as continuous light lines in aluminium profiles.
- Wayfinding and circulation lighting – stairs, corridors and passageways.
- Product and feature highlighting – in retail stores, showcases and exhibition displays.
- Decorative lighting effects – illuminating mirrors, televisions and RGB-based lighting installations.
- Outdoor lighting – terraces, façades and gardens, provided that a version suitable for environmental conditions is selected.
When properly specified, LED strips can also serve as general lighting. Their suitability depends on factors such as luminous flux, light colour, CRI, IP protection rating and installation method.
